Flight and Meet-and-Greet in Shangrao
Shangrao welcomes visitors via Shangrao Airport (SQD) and its railway station on the high-speed train lines. The center always meets its patients and takes them to their accommodation with an interpreter-coordinator.

Where to arrive
The H&B Neurolife rehabilitation center is located in the city of Shangrao (上饶) in Jiangxi Province. There are two convenient ways to reach it:
•Shangrao Airport (SQD) — the regional airport of Shangrao itself. The airport is not international: you can only arrive here on a domestic flight from another Chinese city. It is the most direct route to the destination.
•Shangrao Railway Station — the city sits on the high-speed rail (HSR) lines, so you can comfortably reach Shangrao by high-speed train from major Chinese hubs.
There are no direct international flights to Shangrao, so there are two proven options. The first is to fly with a connection through one of China's international hubs with domestic flights to Shangrao: Beijing, Chengdu, Xi'an, Guangzhou, Shenzhen — search engines such as Trip.com build this route on a single ticket. The second is to fly into Shanghai and take a high-speed train to Shangrao (about 3 hours).
We will help you choose the specific route — which city to fly through and how long the journey will take: just write to us with your departure city and the approximate date of your trip.
Once you have purchased your tickets, send your date and time of arrival to info@dcp-china.ru (and copy it to WhatsApp +86 136 8088 0512) — this is needed so that we can arrange the meet-and-greet.
Useful tips
- Purchasing air and rail tickets is the family's responsibility; the coordinator will help you choose the route and connections in advance
What to pack for your child in the carry-on
Traveling with a child is a task in itself, and some items are better kept within reach in the cabin rather than in checked luggage:
•Medical documents: medical history records for the past six months, MRI and EEG results, and reports from neurologists and other specialists. Bring paper copies and keep duplicates on a USB drive and in the cloud — you will need them at the very first examination at the center.
•Medication for 5–7 days in your carry-on if your child takes anticonvulsants, muscle relaxants, or special nutrition, plus a doctor's prescription (in English or with a certified translation).
•A change of clothes and diapers — for a long flight with connections, it is best to have a full set.
•A familiar toy or a tablet with cartoons — these reduce anxiety during takeoff and landing, especially for children with autism spectrum disorders and sensory sensitivities.
•Travel power adapters — sockets of types A, C, and I are common in China, so a universal adapter will not go amiss.
If your child has taken any medication before the trip, be sure to mention it at the first examination: self-medication is not permitted at the center, and any intake of medication is coordinated with the attending rehabilitation specialist.
Useful tips
- Label all of your child's belongings — dishes, bottle, towel, change of clothes — with your child's name in advance
- Pack comfortable, loose-fitting, non-slip clothing for your child without hoods, drawstrings, or metal zippers — this is safer during the sessions
Meet-and-greet and transfer to your accommodation
The center always meets its patients, without exception: we prepare your accommodation near the center in advance and take you straight to it. The procedure is as follows:
•At Shangrao Airport or the railway station, a driver and a coordinator will meet you — right after the baggage claim area.
•The vehicle is a minivan with room for suitcases and a child car seat; if your child uses a specialized wheelchair, let us know in advance so that we can arrange suitable transport.
•You will be driven to an apartment within walking distance of the center, which we prepare in advance for the period of treatment.
You will be accompanied by an interpreter-coordinator — the same person who helps with registration of residence, currency exchange, and essential purchases during the first few days.
Useful tips
- If your flight or train is delayed, let the coordinator know
