10 days before discharge: ordering documents
Preparations for departure begin in advance — 10 days before the planned discharge.
At this stage you need to tell the coordinator-interpreter the list of discharge documents required and provide the information needed to prepare them. Ten days is enough for the centre to draw up the discharge summary and reports without rushing and to have time to translate them if necessary.
At the same time it is worth giving notice of the expected departure date — this will make it possible to plan the final settlement and transfer in advance.
Which documents to request
- Discharge summary — the final report on the rehabilitation course carried out
- Recommendations from the attending rehabilitation specialist on home rehabilitation and further monitoring
- Specialists' reports and the results of examinations carried out at the centre
- A certificate of medical services provided (issued at the final settlement)
Useful tips
- If you need any documents in Russian, tell the coordinator right away to leave time for translation
5–7 days before: confirmation and reconciliation
5–7 days before discharge, the financial and organisational details are clarified. At this step you need to:
•Confirm the discharge date with the reception desk administrator or the coordinator-interpreter.
•Reconcile the procedure tracking sheet — make sure that every service actually provided bears the trainer''s signature. This sheet is the basis for the final settlement.
•Request a preliminary final invoice and reconcile its figures against the procedure tracking sheet and the history of personal-account top-ups.
This way you will see the final amount in advance and can calmly check that everything has been accounted for correctly, with no discrepancies.
Useful tips
- Discrepancies between the preliminary invoice and the procedure sheet are best resolved now rather than on the day of departure
- 3 days before discharge, the centre issues the final settlement of the treatment cost
1–2 days before: settlement, transfer, apartment
In the last days before departure, all settlements and packing are completed.
•Final settlement. The finance department carries out the final settlement on the personal account. The receipt of payment you kept is exchanged for the final receipt and a certificate of medical services provided.
•Transfer. Book a transfer to Shangrao Sanqingshan (SQD) airport or the Shangrao railway station, and agree the date and time of departure. The centre arranges the send-off when given advance notice.
•Apartment. Vacate the accommodation, gather your personal belongings and notify the administrator that the premises are ready for inspection. If some belongings are to remain in storage, prepare them in advance.
Useful tips
- Before leaving, check that the lighting and electrical appliances are switched off and the keys have been returned to the administrator
- If you reported any faults in the apartment before check-in, this will help during the final inspection
Before departure: luggage and the journey
The final step before the journey is preparing for the flight or train trip.
Familiarise yourself in advance with the luggage and carry-on rules of your air or rail carrier: weight and size allowances, and restrictions on liquids and medical supplies, differ between companies. This is especially important if you are carrying medications prescribed for the child or special nutrition.
Allow extra time before departure — with a child, check-in and security take longer than usual.
Useful tips
- Carry prescribed medications in your hand luggage together with a copy of the recommendations — in case of questions at the checkpoint
- Check the carrier's rules for transporting children's strollers and assistive rehabilitation devices
