Rehabilitation course
The course begins with an examination on the day of arrival or the following day: a medical board draws up an individual rehabilitation programme based on the proprietary step-by-step GROW system. For children with cerebral palsy, the recommended length of a comprehensive course is from 2–3 months. Treatment is paid monthly from a personal account; the first payment is due within 5 business days of arrival.

Initial examination and individual programme
The rehabilitation course begins right after check-in. On the day of arrival or the following day, the centre''s specialists perform an initial examination of the child and prescribe the necessary diagnostic procedures and examinations.
Please bring originals or copies of medical documents to the examination — the same ones you attached to the treatment application: a discharge summary from the medical history for the past 6 months, MRI and EEG results (if available), and any other documents requested by the centre''s administration.
Based on the examination and diagnostics, the centre''s medical board draws up an individual rehabilitation programme. The programme takes into account the diagnosis, the child''s current condition and recovery goals — it is not a standard set of procedures but a personalised plan.
Useful tips
- Be ready to speak frankly about allergies, medications taken, dietary restrictions and behavioural traits of the child — the safety of the sessions depends on how complete this information is
- If the child has high-risk behaviours (self-harm, running away, eating non-edible items), report this in advance and in writing — the centre will develop an individual safety plan
The proprietary GROW programme: four stages
At the core of the centre''s paediatric rehabilitation is the proprietary step-by-step GROW programme. It is a system of four sequential stages that a child progresses through as they develop.
The key feature of the approach: a stage is determined by the child''s stage of development, not by their age. Two children of the same age may be at different GROW stages — the programme is selected based on the results of a developmental assessment, not by date of birth. This makes it possible to work with children aged 1 to 14 in a single but flexible format.
Stages of the GROW programme
- G — Guide Base (Foundational support)
- The starting stage. The foundation is laid: basic skills, the child getting used to the sessions and specialists, initial correction.
- R — Rise Up (Advancement)
- The development stage. Motor, speech and cognitive skills are expanded, and the foundation built earlier turns into steady progress.
- O — Open Social (Opening to society)
- The socialisation stage. The focus is on communication, interaction with other children and adults, social play and communication skills.
- W — Way to School (Path to school)
- The final stage. Preparation for independence and inclusion — the skills needed to adapt to the school and everyday environment.
Course length
The length of the course is determined by the medical board individually — taking into account the child''s condition, the dynamics of treatment and the recommendations of the attending rehabilitation specialist.
For children with cerebral palsy (CP), the recommended minimum length of a comprehensive rehabilitation course is 2–3 months. Rehabilitation for cerebral palsy is a gradual process: a lasting result is consolidated only with sufficient length and regularity of sessions.
The start date and treatment period can be adjusted in agreement with the administration if places are available — it is best to send a request for a change no later than 10 business days before the planned start date.
Useful tips
- The course can be extended: its length is reviewed during treatment together with the attending rehabilitation specialist
- Before planning your departure, agree the date with the doctor — interrupting the course prematurely reduces its effect
Payment for treatment
Payment is organised through the patient''s personal account, which is opened in the finance department upon admission.
Treatment is paid by advance payments into this account: the cost of each service actually provided is debited from the account according to the price list. To keep treatment running without interruptions, the personal account must be topped up in good time.
When you deposit funds, you are given a receipt of payment — keep it until the end of treatment and, at the conclusion, exchange it for the final receipt and a certificate of medical services provided. The centre provides the account balance and a detailed list of services rendered on request at any time.
How and when to pay
•Personal account. Upon admission, a personal account for the child is opened in the finance department — all settlements go through it.
•Monthly payment. Treatment is paid monthly. The first payment is made within 5 business days of arrival at the centre.
•Payment methods. Cash in yuan or by bank card at the finance department, as well as by bank transfer to the centre''s settlement account. For cashless payment, check the procedure and requirements with the administration in advance.
•Organisational expenses (interpreter, transfer, medical support) are paid separately: 1st month — 2000 yuan, 2nd — 1000, from the 3rd month — 500 yuan per month.
Daily routine and discipline
The course follows an agreed schedule, and its continuity directly affects the result. You may not change the schedule on your own — any changes to the programme and routine are allowed only in agreement with the attending rehabilitation specialist and when there are medical indications.
It is important to arrive at sessions punctually: being more than 15 minutes late disrupts the session and is treated as a no-show. If the child cannot attend a procedure for a valid reason, the staff must be notified at least 24 hours in advance — otherwise the cost of the missed procedure may be debited from the personal account.
During sessions, a teacher takes charge of supervising the child: they arrange drinking, toilet trips and rest. Parents do not need to be present at sessions — the teacher gives feedback on the child''s condition after the session.
Useful tips
- Cancelling a session less than 24 hours in advance without a valid reason — the session may be charged as if it took place
- All procedures carried out are recorded in a tracking sheet: after each one the teacher makes a note and the accompanying adult confirms it with a signature — this sheet becomes the basis for the final settlement
- Self-medication is prohibited during treatment: any medications prescribed earlier must be reported to the attending rehabilitation specialist
